There are some issues with FLS' MIDI export, though, so I usually do as I described above. If you don't need to do any further editing in FLS, of course it's easier to just export the MIDI from there or you can use the MIDI clipboard to copy/paste. (You can also record the actual MIDI input from FLS into REAPER this way if you'd like.) Then Record arm the REAPER track and set it to "Record disable (input monitoring only)". If you're not going to need to hear the instruments in FLS again, the easiest way is probably to just run the Tools > Macros > Prepare for MIDI export command in FLS to turn all of the channels into MIDI Outs, then assign the proper port in each channel settings window.Īlso make sure Options > Enable MIDI Output is checked in FLS. This only works for instruments that send MIDI out, though. You do this in the FL Wrapper settings window. Then I make sure the instrument(s) in FLS are set to output to the correct MIDI port. Next I assign the MIDI input in REAPER to FL's MIDI output port. The way I do it is to add FLS as a VSTi in REAPER, then assign a virtual MIDI port in FL as an output (I use MIDI Yoke for this). I know FLS has a vst bridge, so I'm wondering if this is possible and what would be the steps to do it? I haven't given Reaper's sequencer a chance yet, but considering I'm pretty much done with the project I don't want to have to resequence the entire thing. What I would like to do is load the vsts in Reaper and use FL Studio as my midi sequencer. The interface is very different from what I'm used to (which may not be a bad thing), so I'm having a hard time understanding if what I want to do is even possible. I know it's not my system because of my system specs: The program is 32 bit, and I have to do many workarounds just to open certain projects. I've been on the forums for 4 days and everything people are suggesting is not helping. On a project I've been working on (full orchestra with choir using EWQL samples) I've been getting a lot of latency and errors. That being said, FL simply doesn't give me the power I need. I pull up some vsts and midi outs, and have the midi outs playing through the vsts. I'm very much used to the interface with FL Studio, and I like the midi sequencing.

To give a bit of background, I've used FL Studio for a few years, and before that programs like Encore, Finale, etc. I'm very much a noob with Reaper, so you're going to have to treat me as such.
